I've been through a clinical trial before, and you generally
have to receive care at the center conducting the trial, as it's a controlled
experiment. There are differences in bloodwork reads and imaging at different
centers. I was flying from Chicago to Atlanta sometimes back-to-back weeks
because they just couldn't let me do the No Flux Given Vintage Shirt trial at home. You'd think exceptions
could be made during a situation such as this but it's still a controlled
experiment that will determine treatment options for future patients so the
data needs to be solid. Ugh wishing I could give her a big hug.

fighting cancer in the and the pandemic has prevented me from getting into
a clinical trial in Houston. My Chicago oncologist said that most clinical
trials nationwide here are not even enrolling during the pandemic. So even if I
were in Houston, I couldn't start the trial.
